Meet Kitty Kitty! This 9 year old beauty was surrendered to the shelter after her owner was faced with an emergency situation that was out of their control. She came in with 8 other cats, all of whom were friendly and adopted quickly, but Kitty Kitty did not adjust well to the shelter environment. Per her previous owner, she did not think Kitty Kitty would take well to strangers, but it was the only option. Kitty Kitty went out to foster care, in hopes that she would be happier outside of the shelter, and she sure is! While Kitty Kitty does need time to adjust to new people and new surroundings, once she earns your trust, she is a very sweet and loving cat. She purrs, loves to make biscuits, and is talkative. She has a cute little “chirp”. She does allow for handling (she can be picked up, but doesn’t love it), but does enjoy being pet. She rubs against your hand/legs to show affections. She is inquisitive, curious, but not high energy. She doesn’t play much, she prefers to lay in her cat bed and is happy to have attention and company. Kitty Kitty can get hissy/will growl or attempt to strike when scared, so she probably wouldn’t do great in a home with small children. Her ideal environment would be a quiet and laid back one, where her owner can be patient with her and not push her out of her comfort zone. Per her previous owner, she is very loyal when she trusts someone. She did have dogs and cats in her previous home, but so far has been nervous around other pets. She would probably enjoy being the only pet in the home, but could potentially do well with other animals, if given a slow and proper introduction. She is a gorgeous 9 year old with adorable markings, and a very good cat once you let her get used to you. She definitely needs someone who is patient and will give her time though. At 9 years old and having only been in one home, she is a little hesitant at first with new things (can you blame her?). Kitty Kitty is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and is negative for FIV/FeLV. She is ready for immediate adoption. If interested in her, please email FosterCare@ocfl.net. More about KittyKittyGood with Cats, Somewhat vocal, Likes to play with toys, Even-tempered, Gentle
