Hi, I'm HUGGY! I'm a gorgeous one year old golden tabby boy and just bursting with curiosity, playfulness, and love. My foster mom is thrilled that I am now ready for adoption because I am so eager to find my own forever home and be a lucky someone's special kitty! My back story is sad: After my 'owners' moved out and left me behind, I lived under the steps in the apartment stairwell (I was so terrified that I didn't move from the same spot for days). A good Samaritan contacted my foster and she came and got me. I was very skinny, so she nurtured me and then got me neutered and all my vaccines. And despite being neglected and abandoned, I am SO affectionate and loving-  once I get to trust and know you. I will probably act shy the first time we meet, so I'll need someone who understands that and can be patient. Because I really do want to be around people! That's why my my foster mom named me Huggy, because I love being hugged and kissed! If you want a cat who is more like a dog, I'm your boy. I' very energetic and love to play so I would be good with kids or other pets (I got along very well with my foster roommate, another adult cat, once we got to know each other). I have a slight limp and x-rays revealed that one of my back legs was broken in the past, but I don't seem to have any pain and I can jump all the way on top of a 5 foot cat tree with no problem! (I will need a home who would keep an eye on my leg as I get older, in case I develop some arthritis in the area and need meds.) Other than that I am robust, healthy, and just about perfect in every way. I do require a lot of attention so I would be best in a home with someone who has time to give me the love I crave. You will never be bored or lonely when I'm around! But when I'm not busy playing, I want to be next to you or in your lap, snuggling and purring purring purring. Watch my video to observe just how funny and sweet I am!

I am already neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and am ready to go to my new home now.
