Update -- November 24, 2010 -- Sarah has been adopted!!

Hi, I’m Sarah. I came to OCAS with my Mother and five siblings. All six of us kittens came down with a cold, but I got a very bad cold. My foster Mom had to syringe feed me for a few weeks until I was able to eat on my own. At one point, she did not think I was going to make it; but I did. I was on several rounds of antibiotics trying to get rid of my congestion until it was determined my congestion was caused by an allergy. My foster Mom was able to keep my nose clear by cleaning it morning & evening. It was decided that I was ready to get adopted. This was a happy day, but after 10 days I was returned to my foster Mom because my nose was all plugged up due to the congestion and I had a sore under one of my eyes. I got some new medication to take care of my allergy and was given a safe place to get better. Now I am all healed up and with the medication (1 pill a day), you wouldn’t know that I have an allergy. I am hoping to get a new home by the time OCAS clears me for adoption. I am a very sweet, gentle girl who is used to being handled. I am listed as a "special needs" kitten because of my small allergy, (please email for more info in regards to the allergy and how to care for). I get along great with other cats and I think that I would also get along well with dogs and children. I'm very gentle, and have what my foster mom calls "soft paws" meaning I keep my nails retracted even when playing. I only use my nails on a sisal twine scratching post or a Turbo Scratcher, not on people or furniture. I am an indoor kitten and prefer to remain so, protected from hazards of the outdoors. I started out as a black & white kitten, but now I have has some browns that you can see in sunlight, white hairs sparkle in my black coat and my tail has turned mostly gray.
