Have you heard about our Wait Til 8 program? Those finding abandoned litters of kittens will first be offered enrollment in this program. We provide basic supplies, including food, and ask that finders keep the kittens until they are eight weeks of age, at which point they are adoption ready. We will then take them in for free, provide the spay/neuter, initial vaccines and then place them up for adoption! Keeping fragile kittens out of the shelter environment is best. Find out more about our Wait Til 8 program here: http://bit.ly/39qVXYj If you are interested in helping kittens turned into the shelter, please consider becoming a part of our foster program. What Should I Do? -- Tuesday April 1st, 2025 http://orangecountyanimalservicesfl.net/ProgramsServices/KittenSeasonWaitTil8.aspx ![]() Tiny Dusty Saved by FD, OCAS & Kindness! -- Saturday April 24th, 2021 Kindness for Cats President, Beth Otto, takes in foster kitten Dusty, only 3-weeks-old, who was brought to Orange County Animal Services after a citizen heard crying behind the wall in her home. The fire department had to come and cut a hole in her wall to free Dusty. Other than being underage with no mother cat in sight, he was in good spirits and enjoyed plenty of TLC and bottle feeding from staff. After a few weeks of TLC and bottle feeding, Dusty is thriving and is turning into a playful young kitten! He's still a few weeks away from being adoption ready, but we're thankful for the fire department, the citizen who found him, and his foster mom, Beth, all who played a role in helping this little guy thrive and getting him the specialized care he needed! https://www.facebook.com/orangecountyanimalservices/posts/10159046622910569 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
